Obama has been a person the media loves, but is he really controlled by the media. Obama has become a face that many in society can look up to and see hope in. The fact that he is half African American has really been a positive aspect in his election and appearance to the public. The fact that Obama had little experience makes me wonder how he got to be president. Before the election, I have heard nothing about this man and my research on him only makes me skeptical on how he was chosen. I believe that Obama may be controlled by higher powers and profits because of his qualities the media would jump on. There are conspiracies on this, which is why I decided to ponder about this subject. Is there someone else making the decisions behind the curtain? Who could this person, or people, be? Is Obama president for his image or his beliefs?

I think that Obama was chosen for his believes and his image. Throughout the election I always commented on how he had a very talented marketer to come up with his campaign. “Yes we will”, “change”, both very positive slogans that inspire citizens of the United States. Whether or not this is what Obama believes in, he made all citizens of the United States feel they had a voice, made them feel they were equal, and made them feel they would only feel this way if he was President. Marketing proves that you may or may not have the best product, but if you can market yourself at the right time, at the right place, and to the right people, you will succeed. In this case, as in most cases, we were marketed an idea. Obama wasn’t being marketed as him by himself, he was marketed as a way of life. If we wanted that life we must have Obama as president. Time will prove if Obama is more than just the success of a well marketed campaign, or indeed he was only an idea.
I have wondered the same thing for a while now. I didn't want to jump to any conclutions but it seems like he is very popular in the media. I think that because of our previous president, Obama's image seemed absoulutly perfect with the all around picture perfect "change" to his skin color and his beliefs.This lead to many people not researching him at all. There is always going to be that group of people that follow the mass media and every word they say. Knowing this, like every other president media can influnce any uneducated individual.

Yes, I believe that Obama was elected purely on image. The U.S. got all caught up in Bush Derangement Syndrome and were ready to elect anyone or anything with a D behind their name. Obama clearly has absolutely no experience, yet the media held him high like some kind of god, yet sarh palin who had executive experience as a governor (which is the closest thing u could be in comparison to the president) got destroyed by the media. Go figure...
