Obama has recently reached out to America's hemispheric neighbors. He has began reconciling with them from past U.S conflicts. Also, Obama sat in a confrence with them listening to their complaints about the past, and how to better the present and future. This a great step for America, and a smart move on Obama's part. America's relation with many countries have been wavering since our invasion of Iraq and past actions.

I think it is great Obama is reaching to countries that are not necessarily allies of America. It shows Obama is willing to work toward mending old wounds and creating new avenues for America. Though the criticism has increased for his willingness to talk with leaders such as Hugo Chavez, Obama has kept true to his policy.
