In Houston a 12-year-old was charged with murder due to baby's death. The boy had been suspended from school from fighting and was at home with more than one of his siblings but authorities are not sure just how many were present during the incident. The little boy was witnessed throwing the baby and then called his mother and told her that the baby was not breathing. First off I do not agree with the fact that the mother left a 12-year-old at home to supervise a baby, I think that the mother should get charged with an accomplice to murder and the boy that did it should defiantly be charged as well. What do you think?

It is very unfortunate when the life of a young one is taken by accident, but thats just what it was an accident. I believe that the boy did not harm the infant on purpose, i remember being twelve and playing rough with my little cousin. Also, i disagree with the fact that the mother should be charged as an accomplice, it is not her fault, many children are left home together each day.

Okay - first the 12 year old needed to be punished in the first place, and he probably was in heaven that he was allowed to skip school and was left home alone: So yes, I agree with you Janie- MOM did wrong also. Looking at a little more of the families background could be helpful, but obviously the mom knew the child was emotionally unstable and should not be left with a baby! I believe both should be punished because a innocent life was taken away because of irresponsiblity.

I think that this should all go on the 12 year old's mother. What is she doing leaving a baby with a 12 year old kid? In my opinion the boy should be punished but not life in prison or anything like that, I think that he is to young to get charged with anything like that. But the mother on the other hand should be responsible for what the 12 year old did.

I think the mother should be punished if anything coz as the blog states the child was home from suspension due to fighting so his mom already knew he was violent and I'm sure if at school he got suspension for fighting, that wouldn't have been his first time being rough or violent at home either, as for the child I think he should be consulting a psychiatrist
