ANC leads elections early in South Africa

The African National Congress (ANC) is off to a head start in South Africa's elections with 60 percent of the votes so far, followed by the Democratic Alliance with 21.4 percent and the Congress of the People at 7.6 percent. Although ANC leader Jacob Zuma promises to crack down on crime, AIDS, and the dwindling economy, these are issues the ANC failed to address in its past occupation. Additionally, Zuma was just recently dropped of charges concerning a corruption case. Without any information to back up my opinion, I have always felt that anyone that allows themselves to be in a position of being accused of corruption is most likely not far from it.

What Would Mandela Do? A few days ago Nelson Mandela attended an ANC rally wearing a campaign shirt and listened to his pre recorded message over the big screens, giving his support to Zuma.
