Healthcare Reform

A popular issue in America right now is healthcare reform. Many are just focusing on Obama's Universal healthcare plan, but Americans need to know that there are many other plans being discussed and looked over also. Obama's also isn't completely finished because many of the aspects of the plan are vague and in the process of completing. Americans need to know there are other possible plans of healthcare that may be put into action and should be informed about all of them before standing behind just one.

We don't have the best health care system in the world. True we have access to many of the best forms of treatment for what ails you, but that is only if you are in the position to afford it. Having universal health care does not mean that we would be forced to have a 70% tax rate like Sweden, not even close to that even if we adopted the system of care they use, the get many more social services for that 70% tax rate such as free retraining if you happen to lose your job due to outsourcing.

To Obama's health are plan not being overly specific the reason is so that it isn't seen as the predidents plan, giving congress the opportunity to fine tune it so that they have a feeling that it is their plan not just his, making it more likely to pass, a very pragmatic way of creating a system, since the system we have now does not function on a level worth bragging about.

America has the best health care system in the world for those who can afford it. The other 70% who can’t afford it have mediocre care at best. It isn't fair that the people don't have universally equal health care in the number one nation in the world.

America does have a great healthcare system is you can afforf it. I wouldn't agree with Obama's universal healthcare, it would mean higher taxes for the people who work harder for a better living. I agree that we should have a better more effective healthcare but not of the cost of some and not others.
