According to the Washington Times, an Apollo 14 astronaut told a group of UFOlogists Monday that aliens are not a myth and called on the government to disclose its findings. Edward D. Mitchell the astronaut who took the longest walk on the moon in history told a conference that it’s time to unveil the truth and tell everyone about the "alien presence". I myself don’t know what to think? I take the Washington Times seriously with its reporting but until there is an alert from Obama himself I won’t be looking out the window for E.T. anytime soon!

I agree I am probably not going to get all worked up about the advancements towards finding others out there. I am not a space geek, so I dont know much about whats out there but I personally find it hard to believe that there is something more than just us, maybe it is because of all the stupid Hollywood movies that have made them seem so unrealistic!

I heard about this story, Astronaut Mitchell said that before his mission into space he was briefed about any possible encounters with alien life. He said he was given pictures and how he should react if indeed he or any of the other astronauts would encounter alien life. I am a believer in Aliens just because we have not seen them does not mean they are not there. If the government has information about any alien life I think they should still keep it a secret, no need in telling people now. I do not think that people are ready to here the news. I would rather something big happen and we find out through that, so we could have something cool to write in the history books.
Im not saying that Edward D. Mitchell is stating false claims but i do not believe that any alien news will be discussed by President Obama any time soon. This may be Edward D. Mitchell's attempt to get back into the lime light after years of remaining in the shadows. However, If his claim is true, i will put both my feet in my mouth.

I guess we would just have to wait and watch to find out the fact about the "alien persence". Until proven no one is going to believe this fact or I should say until witnessed no one is going to believe in it. So we'd just have to wait and watch.
