FSU Scare tactics

Recently, Florida State University announced all the budget cuts that will possibly be coming into affect within 2009-2010. FSU may be cutting more than 20 majors and many professors will be leaving. Also, they announced that this may be the last summer session for classes ever. I don't think they will fully follow through with this budget cut. This is Florida State University's way of scaring people and seeing if the legislater will provide them with money.

who cares if its there way of scaring people onto giving them money. As long as they have the money too run it. These are programs we cannot afford to lose.

Florida state umiversity is one of the most popular state universities. These budget cuts along with shutting down these progroms will hinder their reputation. These budget cuts should not be followed through with for the better good of the university.

FSU is losing its credibility as a tough university and others are rising high. University of Central Florida and University of Florida alone have already blown FSU out of the water when it comes to majors and classes. The last thing FSU needs to do is cut down the classes and majors...they need to stop talking about cutting down and start finding ways to make it work.

Regardless of whether FSU is using this as a scare tactic, hopefully it works. It has been known for awhile now that schools are extremely underfunded. It would be shame to see 20 majors and professors lost. That would do much damage to the students involved in those programs.
