PBCAC and you

More classified information is being leaked out of different government departments, and it is the fault of P2P software. Well, at least that is what the Oversight and Government Reform Committee is reopening an investigation into the spread of personal and sensitive information over P2P services. The committee has failed to recognize the work of different groups who make P2P software, Lime Wire have worked directly with the committee, to inform people about the risks of the software and potential for mistakes that they might make.
PBCAC stands for problem between chair and computer, and that is where the problem lies, not with the software. The programs are designed so that the only files shared are the ones you decide to share, by putting them in a special folder or by selecting them in another way, and the fact is that people goof up. Wouldn't it be much easier to just make it so that putting programs such as this on government computers against the rules, and if you do put it on there, well go find another job? This to me sounds like the start of another round of attempts to get rid of file sharing, going from a direction that hopefully will get enough credibility to work, which will make few people happy and a great mass upset.
