The Summit of Americas was held in Trinidad and Tobago this past weekend. All Leaders of the Americas met to discuss issues currently facing them. Barrack Obama met with Hugo Chavez the president of Venezuela on the sidelines and shook hands. This caused much controversy in the media as well criticism on Obama’s behalf. I wish the media wouldn’t criticize Obama when he has made it clear that he is going to meet with leaders, even though they may be anti American. Either you agree with him or not he made it clear when he campaigned for this presidency he was going to sit down and try to move forward with Americas so called enemies.
