One of the pirates was recently captured and turned over to american forces from the Maersk, a ship hijacked off the coast of Africa on April 20th. I believe that Navy should have acted faster and took the situation more seriously. The message being shown around the world is were willing to negotiate in events of terrorism. The suspect being question should be questioned fiercely in order to prevent further occurrences and to save American lives.

I agree with you on the fact that they should have taken a more serious approach, I am unsure of the whole story but from what I understand it would have looked better for America to have handeled the situation in a quicker and harsher way. But then again scolding them is not going to end terrorism. We should find a better way to handle situations like this.
I don't think the pirates had any kind of upper hand in these whole events. The military has certain protocol that must be followed in order make sure that lives are spared and that justice is served. The last thing we can ask of our military is to jump to conclusions, didn't we learn anything in Iraq?
