I am not sure if any of you have seen Clinton's new commercial out. It is a tough one to beat. It is the commercial with all the children sleeping safely in their beds and the announcer says,
“It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep. But there’s a phone in the White House, and it’s ringing. Something’s happened in the world, your vote will decide who answers the call. Whether it’s someone who already knows the world’s leaders, knows the military. Someone tested and ready to lead in a dangerous world."
“It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?”
I think that this commercial is extremely moving. It covers an aspect that I would never think about. Who do I want answering that phone with a crisis awaiting at the other end? It is scary to think that this really does happen. Who would you want answering that phone?

I think that was a good move. I haven't thought about it like that either.
After hearing Obama's comment, "There was no such thing as al-Qaida in Iraq until George Bush and John McCain decided to invade Iraq...", he lost my vote. That has got to be the most stupid thing I've heard in a long time. Knowing that he thinks that, I do NOT want him answering the crisis call at 3am!!!
Sounds like a strong commercial that will easily appeal to mothers and fathers with children.
I haven't seen it yet, about to look it up.
I''m a father and it didn't work for me. Kristen P., can you prove that Al-Qaida, was in Iraq befor Bush, I can't. The fact of the matter is that once the terrorist finds an uproar then they move in to rally any angry people. The statement Obama made could have and might be correct, sad to say.
Can I prove it? Absolutely Not! (My only al-qaida contact killed himself..something with a car and a bomb..I don't know.) Is it a possibility they were not there before? Sure. BUT, I'd be willing to bet my life, this small child's life sitting here beside me, and everyone else's in this household that they were there. Do you honestly believe that al-qaida didn't form until AFTER we moved troops in?? I know you don't really believe that!!
No, I know that they were around but I don't think they were in that area. Hussien would not allow it.
well..we've seen that they're pretty sneaky!! I mean damn, WE gave them the training they needed to blow up our buildings..know what I mean?!
Yes that is true. We do that often it is for control and an inside person in other countries.
I haven't seen that commerical.I must admit it does sound pretty appealing. I don't have any kids, but that commerical makes mre think about the future kids I may ahave. It also makes me want to vote for someone who can ensure their safety.

Please infrom me of the great things Mrs. Clinton has done for the children of America, besides making this ad.
I honestly don't know who I'd want answering the phone. If a crisis like that we're to happen, I definitly would not want Hillary answering the phone. I would would like for a more experienced person, who has a number of well advisors answering the phone. Barack Obama would probably take my bet. Although he may not be the best one for the job, I think he do have better advisors than Hillary.
kristen paul, willing to bet your life that al-Qaida was in Iraq is one thing but betting the lives of small children and everyone else in your household is another. Things aren't always what they seem. Anyways, the commercial does not really appeal to me but I can see why it may appeal to others.
