Closed or Not?

I was talking to a man in my night class telling him what I plan to do depending on whoever makes it to the convention. He told me that because I lived in Florida it was closed and I can not vote outside my party. Is this true? I knew when I went last week and voted it would be closed but I thought the next one I could vote for whoever I wanted to no matter what my party was. Does anybody know for sure?

I seem to recall Mr. Quinnel saying that the primary would be closed, but that we could cross party lines in the general election.

In some states you can vote out side of your party affiliation during the primary elections. However in Florida it is a closed primary election state.

In the general election, anybody can vote for anybody whose on the ballot. It was only the primary that was closed.

Look like Florida might have a re-vote.
