Education Cuts
Recently there has been many debates about education cuts in the United States and a number of them will affect college students. Some sources have said to cut bright futures to only those majoring in certain subjects. Others have said only giving financial aid to those who truly need it. They were also stories about taking summer school out of colleges. But if they do take summer school out, how will that affect out other semesters? Will we have to take on more classes? Is there anything we can do to stop this from happening. Because i love having my bright futures and do not want it taken away when i worked so hard for it.

I am completely outraged at the thought of the government cutting funding for education. I believes this once again sends the message that college should not be attainable for everyone. It seems by cutting bright futures, they would also be telling college students that hard work gives you no advantage over those that are just finaincially well-off.

I think by cutting funding the government is not only hurting education, but hurting other areas also. If the government cuts funding fewer kids will get a proper education. That leads to fewer kids getting good jobs and spending their money on things that would help the economy.S Sadler
If they cut education funding it will cause a major decrease in the amount of people going on to college. Many of my friends including myself have a hard time paying for college now, thats why i've been putting off FSU for a while and I'm paying out of state. Also if they cut it less students will attempt to go to other state schools reducing the universities income even more.

Education cuts have become a major issue. By cutting the funding I think this is going to stop many students from attending college because they simply can't afford it. If many politicans believe childern are the future, they should be doing more to help every child recieve an education.

I think that cutting educational funding would cut the number of people who will be going to college. Decreasing the chance of lower and middle class families making off the system. The government should want to give more money instead of cutting it if they really want to help.

Taking bright futures away will be awful for us. High school students work so hard in order to receive scholarships for college. Why would they even consider such a thing? Also, getting rid of summer classes will make us take way more class during the year.
