I don't think that the government should ban the owning or carrying of fire arms. People that want to hurt other people with guns will hurt other people with guns. People who don't, won't. Why punish fine citizens for the acts of criminals. I realize that the second amendment may not be interpreted to mean literally guns, but that doesn't mean that the government should take them away.

I agree that the the government should ban the right to carrying a fire arm. People who own fire arms should follow proper safety rules and regulations but should not be denied the right to carry one.

I think that some people should be able to own a gun; however, I also think that there should be some kind of test on how mentally stable the person is before they are able to purchase. This is because recently there have been a lot of shootings by people who have some kind of mental problem. These people were extremely depressed or are just in some kind of unhappy state of mind and end up wanting to kill not only themselves but other people as well.
