America's Drinking age

There has been much debate over to lower America's drinking age to 18 or leave it at 21. I personally do not think thaat if it were to be lowered to 18 that it would not affect America as much as they think In fact, i think it would eliminate all of the underage drinking and problem decrease some of alcohol related accidents. Young teens view drinking as a trill of excitement because they can't do it but if they could it would not be as popular. In Europe the drinking age is 18 and i think it does not affect their society at all. No one really puts much thought into it, therefore it does not cause that much of a problem.

I think that no matter what, if underage drinkers want alcohol, they'll be able to get it. It's their job to make the right decision. I don't think lowering the age would help. It would just create more problems.

Just because you problably like to party and drink doesn't meant that 18 year old kids around the country should be doing the same...its bad enough right now htat 18 19 year old kids are getting it from the legal drinkers...but if you make it 18 year olds to buy alchohol then you will see the avarage age to start drinking to drop to the 15 16 17 year old kids that hang out with them...why would anyone want an 18 yr old high school senior to be able to buy alchohol...the idea to me is kinda rediculous...

It's a funny thing. I read a comic strip several years ago when I was around 18. The article showed a picture a an 18 year old saying that, he can fire a gun, he can shoot, people, he can operate a tank, he can even push a button that can kill a huge number of people, but yet he can't get not even a sip of liqor because he's to young. That was one funny, but truthful article. It made me wonder, why not decrease the drinking age. If that's not possible than why not join the military till you are 21.

Even though I am under age, I believe that the drinking age should stay the same. If it was lowered than it would be easier for high schoolers to get a hold of alcohol. I know that there are already high schoolers who drink. However with it being 21, it doesn't make it that easy for high schoolers to get it.
