Taxes...boo

A proposal to reduce property taxes in exchange for hiking the state sales tax has split conservative Republicans, who are arguing whether the measure makes taxes more equitable or is a bait and switch that will end up costing Floridians more. What do you think?

I think its great. Think about this: When you start to buy a house and property then your land tax will be lower. But the state plans to make it up on the sales tax. So everyone who comes into the state such as tourist and spring breakers and visitors will be paying the sales tax. If I can save 4000 dollars a year on property tax on my 125 acres by raising the sales tax by 2 percent, then lets do it. Only residents pay property tax, EVERYONE (including visitors) PAY SALES TAX
