A republican legislative aide was caught distributing a very inappropriate email around depicting President Obama as a "pair of white eyes peering from a black background." I think this sort of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and the aide should definitely be fired for their actions. Though many may speculate that the election was lost, or won depending on how you view it, because of race, to continue this childish banter is definitely not behavior that is acceptable from a legislative aide. This not only looks bad on the Republican party, but the people in charge of hiring staff. What does everyone else think?

I agree with you entirely. That is disgusting to me. At this point I would hope that the last problem people would have about Obama would be his race. Obama won the election fair and square and I believe that with this being the 21st century people need to get off their high horses and support our president, and if people do have a problem with him it should only be in regard to his politics.

I agree with you Randall. The Republican party is already having to regroup and is having a tough time as it is. But with incidents like this one it only furthurs their streak of unpopularity. I also agree that the aide should be fired.

Why in a period of economic decline would it be acceptable to denounce and defame the man who is making a tireless effort to fix it. As legislative aid this is a reflection on who is an admistrative secretary to. By this assosiation they should be held to the same standard. The Republican part now in decline has been reduced to simple name calling.
