Nevada Sen. John Ensign admits affair

Senator John Ensign admitted to having an affair with one of his staff members. It is bad enough that a Senator had an affair but I believe that it is worse that it was with a former co-worker who was close friends with her husband. It is a shame that someone who was considered a rising star in the Republican party has now given himself and his party a bad reputation. I think that this is going to hinder him from being re-elected in the 2012 elections because people want representatives that they can trust.

in my opinion you cant trust anybody, and the fact that he admitted to the affair shows that he can be trusted more than most. For years we have found out secrets about different political figures, this is just another example of human beings being human. i admitt that public officials should be held to a higher standard than the rest of society, but that doesnt mean that its fair.

This is a bad look for the Republican party. I also doubt that this man will be re-elected after what he has done. He should have to resign from his postion.
