I want somebody to answer me this one question. Why are we still fighting in the war and its been almost 7 years? There have been no weapons of mass destruction found, Osama Bin Laden has not been found nor do i think anyone will ever find him so why are we still sending troops over there to be killed? Someone should send George W. Bush over there and let him see what the troops go through everyday?

If you are looking for an easy answer you won't find one anywhere. The reasons could fill volumes. If I am not mistaken, the president has made a few trips over there.
Ronald is right, you won't find simple answers they don't exist. Particularly when you mix up two things like this. Osama Bin Laden and Iraq have nothing to do with each other. Also, the war in Iraq began in 2003, so seven years is overstating things quite a big. Bush has made multiple visits to Iraq.
The president visits a lot to see the troops and to boost their moral. Iraq has reached important milestones on the way to a democracy. That means we're winning the war. We aren't sending troops over to die. That's really dramatic and I don't believe our fallen soldiers have died for nothing.
>Iraq has reached important milestones on the way to a democracy.
Maybe. Most of the milestones they were supposed to reach they didn't reach. They have had Democratic elections, but if we pulled out right now, the results of those elections would probably disappear, so are they really achieving that milestone?
I don't think we should pull out now. If we stay and show responsibility for what we started, one day they'll have elections without us and the results of those elections will stick.
They are just depending on us hand and foot. If we pull out at any moment they're all "doomed. (echoing)" In that case I don't believe we are winning the war by any means. Neither do I believe we should make a hasty retreat. Slowly pulling out is a good idea as long as we can keep our remaining soldiers protected.
There is know one answer why we're fighting the war, and every time that question is asked no real answer is ever given.I also feel like President Bush should go over there as well, but i feel like he couldnt last an entire day.
I think majority of United State citizens are wondering why we are still at war, I know I am. If only we could some how make accomplishments in this war that tie into the reason why we entered into combat in the first place, perhaps support of the war would improve. As far as sending Bush to Iraq to walk in a soilder's shoes, is doubtful, our dear president wouldn't last a day.
