SHOW ME THE MONEY!!

As you all may know Republican Fred Thompson accepted endorsements from the Pro-Life Group. This is quite interesting because he once supported the Pro-Choice group in the early 90's. People say it is fair for you to grow and learn and therefore change your decision on matters. Though, how will this change affect his campaigning? It is almost as if he is going to which ever group gives him a large chunk of change. I believe Fred Thompson's future is looking rather grim.

This probably will have little affect on his campaigning. Everybody will grumble about it for a little while and then they will move on.

So you believe he will not lose any supporters? It sure would be unwise for all Pro-Choice members to vote for a traitor. Also a few Pro-Life members may feel uneasy voting for him also. Knowing the previous dichotomy of political figures such as Thompson, he is probably just going to where the money is. It is true you can change your mind over time, but I don't believe this is common in most cases. He wanted women to be able to choose which was a liberal view. He now believes that abortion is wrong by all means? Now that would be conservative. Added with the extra cash flow, this is suspicious.

Thompson voted for Pro-Choice on one issue, before he was in Congress. Why don't you go look at all of the other candidates, and check their voting records, I believe you'll find quite a few who have flip-flopped. Plus I believe his reason for switching to Pro-Life was because he had a child and found out what it was like to be a parent, not just to get the big checks for the organizations.

Another example would be liberal presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich. Before running for president, he was pro-life. Then he ran as a liberal and became pro-choice.

It's a fact that we're going to have to live with for a couple of decades, at least. There are a majority of Americans who are conservative Republicans, so Thompson is likely to just be making a move to get more votes. Stories about lying politicians aren't big news these days- they're not trying to be the good guy, they just want your vote. And a lot of the time, once they have it, they conveniently fail to follow through with campaign promises. I just hope that once our generation runs the country, people will be more open-minded.

Not quite, conservative Republicans make up about 30% of the population.
