I don't think this guy has a sane bone in his body. He brainwashes his people who he's starving and the country is sensored and cut off from the rest of the world. He has proven time and again that he cannot be trusted and I believe we need to come down on him hard. This is a man who claims to be heaven-sent; reportedly shooting a 38 UNDER in his FIRST round of golf, which on a standard par 72 course is an astounding 34, just 1.88 per hole. Also, he wanted the United States to return counterfeit money that was being produced by him in North Korea. I think it's time we get whatever weapons of mass destruction that he has out of his hands. Maybe we'll just wait until he sends a wake-up call. I'd like to hear what actions you guys think we should take regarding North Korea.

Keep in mind that no country with a major interest in this situation believes that there are any WMDs currently in North Korea. They are pursuing them and claim to have them, but no one really believes they do.
What we should do should be directly related to what is really happening. We are currently engaed in two wars and our military, as great as they are, cannot handle a third. They are designed for it and they don't have the personnel or equipment for it. That means we do not have the ability to invade a third country, particularly when it is quite obvious that that country has no WMDs. They don't even have missiles that can successfully pass basic tests. It is beyond their capabilities to obtain these weapons without outside assitance. Their are only eight countries that can provide that assistance -- the U.S., the U.K., France, China, Israel, Pakistan, India and Russia. Which of them is going to sell that information to North Korea? The answer is simple, none. Many countries have sought this type of technology since the 1940s when it was first invented. Few have gotten it because it is incredibly difficult to come by. Our resources are much better spend going after the terrorists than attacking a paper tiger who is only talking loud so everyone will give him attention.
While in all likelihood Kim Jong-Il is clinically insane, remember that he has never attacked any other country. His father did, but his father has been dead for a while.
The thing is, you just can't hide nuclear weapons. They're radioactive. They're big. They require particular types of storage. These things aren't present in North Korea.
It's possible that the missiles were intentional duds, but that's pretty far-fetched. It would give Kim Jung-Il a level of sanity and intelligence he just doesn't seem to have. This guy is clearly an incompetent and probably insane person. People like that rarely come up with master conspiracies.
Our military, since the beginning of the cold war has been designed to handle fighting a war on two fronts. If we go beyond our capabilities, which we probably could handle logistically, we start leaving the homeland unprotected and vulnerable to attack.
