Florida buys 74,000 acres for preservation
Today the State of Florida just bought land from Lake Okechobee to the Gulf of Mexico. It was 74,000 acres of undeveloped land to protect the panthers, bears, and other native species of that area. This land will not be built on and be a preserve for the natural environment. I am all for saving some land for the animals native to an area but 74,000 acres is a lot of land. I would think you could build on half and make the other half a preserve for the wildlife. This is valuable land that could bring more money into Florida if built up. What do you all think about this topic?

Its good that land has been set aside for animals. Panthers now a day are down to less than several hundreds. Bears, panthers, and other animals need a new place to stay that is free from human interference.
I think humans are selfish when it comes to land and money. I think the more land they perseve and the less they build on is better. We need to start worrying about our wild life more and less about money.
