"The California Supreme Court overturned a voter-approved ban on gay marriage Thursday in a ruling that would allow same-sex couples in the nation's biggest state to tie the knot." But some religious and conservative people are trying to put another ban on the November ballot and if passed, it will undo the court's decision. I believe that people of the same-sex should be able to get married if they want to. The United States is suppose to be the country of the free. Who are we to judge other's decisions and tell others what is right or wrong? People of the same-sex getting married doesn't hurt anyone so why put a ban on it? There are many different religious beliefs out there and we do not know who is right or who is wrong and we may or may not find out until the day we die. Other people believe that gay couples should not raise children either. Some children are raised in families who are worse off. Families where children are beaten, molested, and are taught to hate others based on their beliefs and race. If anything, gay couples can teach their children to have an open mind about others and respect other's beliefs. What are your thoughts on gay marriage and gay couples raising children?

I absolutely agree that there should not be any ban on gay marriage. It's blatant discrimination, especially when benefits/rights and adoptions are denied. I think it is a shame when gay couples are perfectly capable of raising a child in a loving home but because they are gay aren't allowed to. Yet people who have no business raising children are still given the right to raise them. That is the saddest thing about the whole mess.
I also agree that there should not be a ban on same sex marriage.if two people of the same sex want to take there commitment to one another to another level let them!! i feel putting a ban of same sex marriage contradicts the meaning of what we call; the land of the free

If a person choose to date the same sex, that is their business. I am not for it nor against it. Everyone is held accountable for their own actions.

Well i think that it is wrong simply because God doesnt agree with man liking thier own sex. Its an abomination, I f that was the case he would have made eve and amanda, and adam and steve. But he wanted us to like the opposite sex. But whatever makes you happy go for it.

I think the legalization of gay marriage in California is a sign of progress for this great nation. The people of America are becoming more and more acceptable to new ideas. That's a good thing.
