Former Klan member endorses Obama

Obama has gotten another endorsement! This time from Senator Robert C. Byrd, and it might come as a surprise to many because Senator Byrd is a former member of the Ku Klux Klan. This makes me wonder if people really can change! To go from hating someone because of their race, to supporting someone of a race you once hated. What do you think, can people really change?

Being that we all are out of the days of slavery and are in a whole different state of time it is good that people can look beyond skin color and indifference and see a person for what they are truely worth and what a difference they can make in society. I applaud Senator Byrd, I believe he's become a bigger person.

I am really impressed. I believe since Robert Byrd is a man of intelligence he was able to see the pros of having Barack Obama as our President. Still, there are many ignorant people out there who will hate it if Obama becomes President because they were raised to be racist. I really hope that if Obama becomes President, many people will change and we can get rid of a lot of the racism that is still around today. Senator Byrd is a great example for many people to follow, ironically.

Yes, I believe people can change.
I think this maybe a cover up to get in the lime light. I just hope that Obama doesn't put all his trust in him. It may just come back to bite him later.

I think that is a shocker. A former Klan member...wow! But some people do change for the better.

Suprise,Suprise,Suprise!!! Byrd a former Klan member always a Klan memebr.I could be wrong, but I don't think he has changed. In my opinion I think he is endorseing Obama just because...
He wants to see how Americans would react to what he is doing.

I believe that people can change! I also think that change goes through increments. Someone can't wake up one morning and declare that they have changed. I may be wrong but that's my intake on it. However if you have hatred in your heart for some ignoramus reason, then no i don't think that a change can appear like that! I hope that his endorsement is genuine.
