Never a racial card. It's about right and wrong.
Reverend Al Sharpton recently made a statement about Beyonces outfit on an award show. He stated that her outfit made her look like a "Robo Hoe." He is supposed to be a man of high power. A man of politics. Don Imus a radio commentator spoke about Rutgers Womens basketball team and called them "Nappy Headed Hoes." He of course lost his job because man took it as a racial slur. Even Sharpton had impact on Imus and his dismissal. But, Sharpton did the same thing, had no consequences. Tell me whats the difference. Like I said whats right is right.....Whats wrong is wrong......What do you think?

He also supports a man running for local office in New York who said something along the lines of, I want to smack a white man so I can feel better. Why is that ok?
I think Al Sharpton might be a hypocrite. The word " hoe" such a strong content behind that. I am shocked.
Al Sharpton actually said that? I'm surprised that he would say that when he tries so hard to be a civil activist. That's such a sexist thing to say. Wow. I never cared for the guy, I don't think this helps his image at all.
That is DEFINATELY hypoctitical. Sharpton was so passionate about getting Imus fired for what he said on the air. And then hes turing around and saying the same word. Thats ridiculous.
I had to write a paper last semester about the Don Imus sitiuation and I did not think he should have been fired in the first place. This makes me angry.....
He is entitled to his opinion. Knowing when to use it or how to use it is the real question.
I've never really listened to either one of these men talk but I read what happened in both cases, and I agree Sharpton was being a hypocrite. Sometimes I think that African Americans feel it's okay to make racial slurs against each other but when a white person does it then we're the ones being racists. I don't think abyone should make racial slurs aganist anyone, but that's like asking for snow in Miami.
I think that what he said was wrong and I don't think he should be promoting that kind of behavior by doing it himself. It was right for Don Imus to get fired for saying that but I think Al Sharpton should face the same consequences for what he said, afterall isn't he supposed to be a Reverend? I was under the impression that Reverends don't usually degrate women like that.
