Popularity Contest
I was watching Jay Leno last night, something that I rarely do, and he had Bill O'Riley on his show. I'm not really a huge fan of O'Riley actually to be quite honest I think he needs to just shut up sometimes but I did agree with him on one thing. He said that this presidential election has turned into a popularity contest and he's right. He said both Obama and Hillary have pretty much the same views and political platforms and I even checked it out myself and there's not that much difference between the two. American are left to decide whether they want the young "next best thing" or the "old dog who's learned a few new tricks." What do you guys think?

Al Franken has referred to Bill O'Reilly as Bill O'Lielly. But of course it's a popularity contest.
Old dogs that learn new tricks still poop in the House. Literally. =)
I agree though. They're political agendas are seemingly parallel. Hilary just..gives me goosebumps. She was on the executive board of Wal-Mart, a company that's infamous for exploitation. The thought of continuing the "Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton" pattern seems suspiciously wrong.
Each of these talk shows really have a political favorite,it is clear who supports who.
Sometimes Bill O'Riley gets on my nerves. I've seen episodes where the person they've invited on the show didn't agree with Bill and he would not let them talk. He would keep over talking them and just be a jerk. I'm waiting for someone to come on and punch him in the face!

That is so funny and so true!
Kristen P., sometimes I can't stomach him eighter.
You know, an election by definition is a popularity vote... unfortunately, my party(s) aren't represented enough to make any difference.
The lesser of two evils can still be Evil.
I think you're right. They do have similar views. It all comes down to who has the most persuasive personality. S Sadler
