Going Along For the Ride

Everyone is wondering who will be Senator Barack Obama's running mate if he wins the democratic nomination. Well, Tom Daschle, former South Dakota senator said he if Obama offered him the position that he would consider it. Daschle has endorsed Obama for the presidential nomination and is an avid supporter of Obama. But, Daschle said there has been no talk yet of him being Obama's running mate and no democratic nominees have even contacted him about being their running mate. He also said that his endorsement of Obama was not intended to get a seat on the democratic ticket, but don't count him out of politics. So what do you think will happen if Daschle becomes Obama's vice president. Will it hurt Obama or will it help Obama reach even more voters? I think Obama and Clinton would have made a hell of a team and a sure win for the democratic party if it were not for two reasons. One, the two would have to stop fighting and Clinton MUST stop playing underhanded politics and flip flopping on the important issues just so she can straddle the fence and please everyone in Washington. It makes her, Bill, and more importantly democrats look bad.

Obama and Clinton? I think Bill would be pretty furious. Hillary deserves revenge, but would it be the right thing to do?

I think it would be a bad choice if Obama and Clinton run together. Usually it helps to find a running mate that covers the side of the Democratic spectrum that you don't. Therefore it would be wiser to choose someone that thinks differently on important issues to allow more voters to vote for them.
