In a speech in North Carolina Obama criticized McCain's tax plans that he would implement if he is elected president. Obama doesn't agree that lowering corporate taxes is a good idea and feels that making Bush's tax cuts permanent is a bad idea. On the other hand McCain says that his tax plan would balance the budget by the end of his first term. McCain has been a proponent of cutting government spending, eliminating ear-marks, keeping the pork out of bills. I think cutting spending is important for the success of our country, and it can do a lot to help balance the tax cuts. The way I see it, McCain's cuts will keep money in the hands of the people to spend at their discretion, rather than increasing spending, and using increased taxes to fund struggling government programs. Cutting unnecessary spending is essential to the long term success of our government, shrinking it, giving the private sectors more control over their businesses and citizens more control over their income and how they spend it, giving us more financial freedom with lower taxes.

I have to agree with you. Cutting spending for government programs would help us balance our budget and get this country out of debt. Then you also have the taxpayer's argument. The economy is bad and our dollar isn't worth very much. Every dollar the government takes, our take home pay gets even smaller, due to inflation. Instead of that tax money being spent government programs that aren't necessary it could be better spent to pay for necessities families need.

I agree too that cutting spending would help our country. We are in a lot of debt and that needs to be fixed and one way is this. People need to learn to balance there budgets and buy only needed essentials. Cutting unneeded essentials is a good way to save money in the long run.
