McCain welcomed barak Obama to the fall campaign for the white house and then speak against him. He stated “American ought to be concerned about the judgment of a presidential candidate who say’s he’s ready to talk, in person and without conditions, but he hasn’t traveled to Iraq”. Really do Obama have to travel to Iraq to know what’s going on to say he wants to bring our troops home. This is a man who cares for the people and he knows it’s time to put an end to all this madness. They say its one thing in Iraq going on but who knows for sure what’s going on President Bush have been sending more and more troops to Iraq to fight in a war but the question is Who’s war are our sibling s fighting in?
I think McCain has some money invested in this war that’s why he is trying to stop Obama from bringing the troops home.

I wouldn't really call it madness. It's been pretty controlled lately and the surge has been working. There have been various news sources that have said Al-Qeada in Iraq is close to being wiped out (which is one of McCain's goals, along with having a stable Iraqi security force in power before he starts pulling troops out).
I think it's important for a candidate to travel over to Iraq to meet with the troops and get their personal opinions. He is running for the presidential office where one of his duties is commander in chief, I think he should go over and see the troops.
McCain knows the consequences of a hurried pull out of Iraq, the nation would probably crumble and civil war would ensue. Then what happens? A new dictator comes into power and becomes more of a threat than Hussein or Ahmadenijad? What if they start killing the minority, a genocide? Then what happens? The US was criticized for not going to Rwanda to stop that genocide, would we immediately go back into Iraq? The area is too fragile, in my opinion, to just pull out. You have the Kurds in the north already trying to break away from many countries in the area. Then you have the Suni's and the Shiite's. It could get very ugly without a US presence in Iraq.

If everyone is worried about genocide, then why isn't it a United Nations matter? No one wants their hands in this mess, except for the United States. If we pull out and a civil war ensues let them handle it. We didn't step into World War II, until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. There is much more going on in IRAQ than we know about. All we know is what the media tells us. Also if we are so concerned about civil war how come we, as a country, aren't doing anything about the situation in Darfur?

Who do you think will have to step in for the UN? It would probably be another coalition force, which would most likely include us. Why not just prevent that from happening by finishing the job now.
I think that Darfur will be addressed soon (hopefully). The UN needs to get involved and send a coalition there to sort things out.

Who is to say that this will prevent all these forseen events? Even after a pull out the same thing can happen. I think enough lives have been lost.
