Free Gas!!!

Gas prices are on everybody mind and its not only hurting the pockets of the people driving but consumers. the market that is really taking a big hit is the automobile market, but there finding ways to get around this hardship and one way is by giving away gas with the purchase of a new car and some people wonder how in the world can they do that. well in recent ads many car companies are giving away gas cards worth up to $3000.00 dollars and some even offering gas at a discounted price of $2.99 a gallon. I would have to say this is a good strategy to get people to buy cars.

I totally agree that it is a good stategy to sell more cars. The only concern that i have, I hope it's not a misleading ad. I find that very hard to believe that they would give you a gas card for so much. $3000.00 is enough to last for a whole year.

I feel that this stratgy is ok but in the reality of it all we can not afford new cars with or without the gas card. People have to realize that not only have the price of gas and food gone up but everything has risen. Do they think about how much money it’s going to cost to fix that new car that is full of gas but they can’t drive? Do think about the amount of insurance they are going to pay for their new car. Yes! We would all say this is a good idea to get people to purchase cars but we have to be smarter than the advertisements.

Free gas is a good idea to start doing, but you are still paying $2.99 a gallon anyway. A gallon of gas costs about $3.25 right now. That's not that much more. Im sure there is more you have to do then just buy a car to get free gas, sounds like a scam to me.

I agree that it is a good statagy for the person not thinking. In less you have an SUV there is know need to purchase or trade in. Think about the neg. equity attached to the car. Really how much are you really saving an did you really need a new car. Altogether I just think some law need to be implemented to put a cap on gas prices and fine those company that are causing the economy to go haywire. We are suppose to work together not drive each other to poverty.
