Congress offer no immediate help on gas prices.

President bush proposed to congress an offer to open an ANWR, and also open up the continental shelf. Bush said this will give the country a chance to seek help through this difficult moment. Opening up the continental shelf will take pressure off the gas prices. He also propose that they drilling in Alaska's Arctic Wildlife National Refuge. Congress opposed and said these alternatives will not work! Congress stated that it takes money for all the alternatives, the federal government is in $ 9 trillion in debt.
