Race and Gender in Election

I think it's crazy how this years election has focused so much on race and gender. I think it's great that these candidates are breaking down barriers, but race and gender doesn't determine whether a person is going to be a good leader. People have to look past the exterior and see what these candidates really stand for.

This is the first time that race and/or gender has been an issue at this scale. Not everyone focuses on such miniscule issues as that. The fact that a black man and a white woman have stood up and decided to do this...I raise my glass to them. But at the same time, what's important is what they stand for, what they intend to do once president, and that's the real issue. So part of what you say I agree with, yes. But I have no ill feelings towards gender or race.

The change we need will have to be bold, as bold as a black man or even a lady in the white house. We've tried the way of the past and it is not doing good for our future.
