President Obama Wants to Meet With Muslim Leaders
If you are woundering why the title proclaims "Obama as President Of The United States" is because many don't think it is possiable. There is an article that say, Obama would like to hold a summit with the muslim leaders from around the world. That is a huge undertaking in it self, to say the least he would be a very green president. It is my position that although doing so would be quight knowable it would be to huge of an issue to tackle in his first term, but I'm all for it in his second term. The whole issue of the Middle East, Holy Wars and Holy Lands Division is far to complex to go into blindly! Just look at what George W. Bush got us into when he went into the Middle East Blindly! Their is "no" quick fix in this case and anyone who thinks that there is foolish and does not know much about history. Obama must be careful and prudent when he tries to approach this subjet matter as president.

It has been said that before becoming a christian Obama was muslim. Now I've never been a hater, especially when it comes to religion, but I don't know about this. What if he gets elected and then pulls a 360 on us?!? We'd be done! I think Obama could do some really great things for the country but with the current state we're in now..I don't think I could risk it.
The rumor that Obama was ever a Muslim or trained in a radical Muslim school is 100% fictional.

Kristen, do you know that "if he pulls a 360", he would actually be were he is right now. Which might I add is still better than we are with this current administration. Besides it is a proven fact that Obama is the offspring of a bi-racail marriage of which his parents are white & black. His mother is white and his father is African.
There is a criteria for being Muslim and he does not fit it.
And it's clear that based on all available information, Obama is 0% Muslim.

First off, I do not have a KP in my gradebook, so I can't give you credit unless you put your full name on each post and/or comment you put on the blog.
Islam is a broad religion, much like Christianity. KP, are you a Christian? What things make you a Christian? The same criteria that would make you a Christian would be required to make someone a Muslim. So it would involve reading, study and adherence to the Koran instead of the Bible. It would involve attending Mosque instead of going to church. There would be certain rules and rituals that one would be required to follow. There would be different beliefs that someone would have. And so on and so on.
Then why was race brought up??

The ONLY reason why I asked about a "criteria" was because he mentioned race...but I'm over it. we can move on!
Despite all the comments about moving on, I want to address this about being a muslim. There is no real threat about being a muslim, even if obama was, which he isn't. The Koran preaches much more specific guidelines for life and also much more strict guidelines for life. I don't believe that even if Obama was muslim, it should really effect how we feel about him. Just like supremist groups that follow Christianity, we MUST not think about the muslim faith as a violent one, as it is absolutely not.
JD,I agree because someone is muslim that should not automatically make some one a treat or alarm us. For example would we fear a "three year old muslim boy?" We fear only because of OUR OWN precptions about someone or something. To say that him meeting with the muslim people scare you leaves me wondering; why?
George W. Bush was looking for a fight. Anything to take the focus off the terrible job he was doing as president.
Josh, I also think that he was protecting his families OIL interst as well.
If Obama becomes president, i think that meeting with muslim leaders would be good for us all.
At first I doubt its weight but after a while it will be of some value. Mr. Giorvanni
