America's Responsibility?

Is it our responsibility as the most powerful country in the world to solve other countries problems? With so many countries in need it is impossible to be the peacemaker and it just might be in our own investment to be more picky about which battles to fight.

America does seem to the the world policeman. I think we tend to be into everyone's problems to some extent. Being the most powerful country in the world and knowing no other country can do the things we can kind of puts the responsibilty upon us. Besides if not us then who?

I don't think it is our place to get involved in other countries problems. Look at all the countries in Europe, like Italy and France, they learned their lesson in WWII and since then have not been invloved in any wars.

I believe we are blessed with being the strongest nation. It is our God given right to stand strong and do what we need to do to live free

America has a certain obligation to offer aide to struggling countries because of its wealth. I do, however, believe a line has to be drawn as to how far America is willing to go to assist. America has to be prepared to help its own self in a time of crisis. How can this happen if our military is helping someone else? Shane Sadler

I agree that America should definitely help other countries that are willing to accept our help. I don't feel that we should force our offer to help on any country. Why should we spend time on countries that are rejecting our help when there are a number of countries that would gladly accept it?

I agree, we should be more careful about who we engage with. We shouldn't just jump into everyone's problems so quickly. That's why so many countries have problems with us.
