Fat America

Florida elementary school students would be required to have 30 minutes of continuous exercise daily, and middle schools would get physical education, too, under a bill up for debate in the state's Senate. Do you think this will decrease the obesity rate in children?

In all honesty, adding a physical fitness program is a good idea, but I think it is more of the parents job to keep their kids healthy. The school can't prevent the child going home and sitting in front of the T.V. with a bag of chips for the entire afternoon. If we really want to brainwash children into healthy habits, show them a picture of what happens when one eats mcdonalds everyday. Children are only at school eight hours a day...that never stopped the cookie monster.
