Out of Control

Oil companies are getting paid and I’m sorry to say we are getting Laid, out to die. These rich tycoons are rolling in the doe, while we Americans are being devastated by their greed. Before when gas was about $2.80, my family spent almost $800.00 a month on gas, in comparison with the present gas prices we spend over $1,034.00 a month for gas in our vehicles. If I were to and in the cost of the fuel for the equipment for my business it would be closer to $1500.00 a month in gas and diesel alone, “Big Daddy can’t live like he use to.” Many college students are working at this point in vain; Tallahassee is a college town with “Mainly, low paying jobs.” 1) How does these “GAS PRICES” factor into your life? 2) What percentage of your paycheck go to gas? 3) How have you had to alter your lifestyle because of the present cost of gas?

The gas prices have no jumped up to about $3.27 a gallon and keep me from wanting to drive places such as orlando like I used to. In daily necessary routines about 20% or more of my paychecks go to gas. Over the summer I traded in my old car for a 4cyl to get more miles per gallon.

I was watching CNN and the truck stop owner saw two trucks being taken away by banks because the truck drivers couldn't pay the mortgage. Some truck drivers say they can't meet ends together because the gas price is too high. People think that Mr. Bush is getting this oil oversees because if the world runs out of oil and gas, we will have the last drop and tap our reserves in PA, NY, and other states to keep on trucking.

Gas is way out of control. At this point people are getting rid of their cars and picking up a bike, it really has come down to that. Half a paycheck is strictly for gas and with little left over people barely can pay their bills.

To say that "rich tycoons" are rolling in the doe means that these "rich tycoons," are rolling in female deer. That is an obvious logical fallacy, whether you know it or not. By the way, we are not getting "laid" either, because no matter how people want to look at it, everyone was afraid two years ago that the price per gallon in Florida was going to reach $3.00 a gallon. Look at us now paying $3.25 a gallon. Still not saving money on gas? Americans don't realize that they pay this much for bottled water at the same exact gas station. Yeah, water. Nobody thinks about how expensive everything else is until the media makes a big giant deal out of it. The only thing we have to fear is the fear of the unknown. That is, until we get to know it.
