Another School Shooting
There was a school shooting in Chapel Hill yesterday. I am starting to worry about school safety now. I remember back in the old days people would have a little fight and every thing would be alright the next day. It seems that schools were once the safest places. Now the are beginning to become dangerous. I wish people would stop taking matters into their own hands. I do not agree with taking a life just because. Peope should seek couseling before they result in such drastic violence. What do you think?

Kids need to say no to drugs that's what I think.
People out there acting crazy then they blame their momma and daddy and tv or they just kill themselves afterwards!
There's a new trend though. Now you kill your kids! You've seen that on tv???

Tip of the iceberg I fear. What about video games where you play from the first person perspective of a psychotic killer who's escaped from the nut house? Goal of the game is to rape and murder as many people as possible. Banned in Europe...no problem in America. Big seller...making lots of money! Old folks used to say we were raising a generation of ingrates...lazy and shiftless. Turns out that they may have been correct. Recent studies indicate that current generation is extremely narcissistic, in addition to being fatter, lazier, and considerably stupider than previous generation. Unfortuneatly, I think we can say in the case of the next generation that we are raising a horde of monsters...totally desensitized to violence, largely incapable of empathy, or compassion for anyone beyond than themselves. We are becoming a nation of sociopaths.
Ms. Winn, I' am ticked because "none of my post or comments from last night are showing up today." This world is a voilent place, I fear that this will soon happen to us in Florida. This is a cowardly, copycat actions it is a way many people wish to commit sucide these days.
I feel you can't control how an individual reacts to a situation. If we lock down schools and put so many safety routine in to keep everyone safe. Believe me if someone is seeking to harm another the pencils will become weapon, and rocks on the playground will become weapons. Really we can't protect our schools or the minds that come into it.
I couldn't agree more, you will never know what can happen in our school system today. I wish everyone would just think before they act.
Yes i think school shootings have gotten way out of hand. I think we should up the sercurity on school campuses on all levels before things get any worse. To make a point about what lee said some people build up some much anger that it might be hard for them to think about anything else other than killing. Just a thought
