Inaugeration

As we all know, this election has been one of the most anticipated and monumental elections in our country’s history. It would only seem to fit that the inauguration ceremony should be well attended. However, no one is giving tickets away. People have been selling tickets online for upwards of $20,000. There is no doubt that this would be one of the most defying things you would see in history but maybe the people selling tickets should think of lowering the price considering the state of the economy.

Even with the state of the economy people are always going to be looking out for themselves. With our economy hurting so badly and everyone needing more money, with an event this big I almost can’t blame anyone for selling tickets for so much. They are just trying to help themselves, and in some cases that’s not a bad thing.

While the price for inaugeration tickets may seem high, this election has been on of the most participated and watched in the history of our nation. I would not pay $20,000 for a ticket but, I'm sure that there are people or corporations that will even in this poor econonmical period. If someone can pay such a high price to attend the event then there shouldnt be a problem with someone charging that amount. After all, the inaugeration will be televised.

I think it's interesting how people are complaining about the shape of our economy but then they are charging their fellow democrats $20,000 to go see Obama's inauguration.

The memorable moment began when Obama was elected as president. I do think its ridiculous for the ceremony to be so pricey. But is it any different to purchase high dollar seats at a sports event or spend a lot of money to attend a concert? Even though the dollar value its equivalent to the ceremony all of these events cost a lot of money and people are wanting to spend their money to be apart of history. I rather save $20k and watch the ceremony at home. I can guarantee I will have the best in the house!!!
