Removing The Military In Iraq
Although, most of the candidates say that if they are President they will pull most of our troops out of Iraq in a short amount of time i feel that this is not possible. The reason why I feel it is impossible for a quick romoval from Iraq is the plain fact that we are so involved over there that if we do pull out quickly the Iraqi government will fall apart and terrorists will take over once again. I feel the candidates say it is possible to get more votes even though they really know it will take some time.

I think It's possible to remove the troops but not all at once we started a war and it's not going to be stable for a long time to come. image if our country was invaded all of a sutton the invaders left the country would be in turmoil and there would be no change and if any the chagne occured it would become worst then before the invaders came.
Im all for the removal of the troops from iraq. I believe our number one priority should be our nation's safety and homeland security. We have to fix our problems here before we can worry about anyone else.
I think they will bring back most troops but leave a few there for helping, and protecting high officials there in Iraq.
I agree, the US military will not be able to be removed for a while. Candidates are saying that he or she will remove them if elected to office, but it will not be possible until they feel the Iraq Army can take over completely.
I argee, removiing troops as fast as they think will not happen. The process of removing troops is a lot harder than they think. I understand a few at a time but as far as large numbers it will not happen. Besides congress is they one that can pull out troops. They president does not really have power of declaring or ending war.
Nobody is saying that the troops will be removed quickly. No plan by the big three candidates gets us out of Iraq in less than 16 months.
I think we are there for the long haul.If we remove a significant amount of troops we are in trouble. If a small amount are left then, that means the insurgents would concentrate all of their efforts on that small amount creating more American casualties. S Sadler
