Leagalizing drugs

I've heard recently that if we legalized drugs, then we would make money through taxes from something people will do anyways. I think that the more accessable drugs are, the more likely people will be to try them, resulting in more cases of addiction. Sometimes kids don't do drugs because they are difficult to attain. Thoughts?
