Hilary Clinton has changed her mind on the issue of the war. She was one of many who voted towards giving the Bush administration the power to invade Iraq. Here's my point: If Hilary Clinton and others in the senate can vote one way and then change their minds, how can they expect America to take them seriously as a presidential candidate. If George Bush woke up tomorrow and said he changed his mind about this whole Iraq thing, might Americans respond with forgiveness. Doubtful, but Senators should be held to the same standards. These people have power. With that power comes the responsibility to make important decisions and stand by those decisions.

A couple of critical thinking errors on this one. One, change does not mean "ever-changing." Two, if you condemn Clinton for this, you'd have to condemn every politician and human being ever. People always change their minds. there is nothing wrong with someone changing their mind. It's only wrong if they change it for the wrong reasons. And, of course, Dick Cheney originally opposed invading Iraq and changed his mind once he was VP, so if you pick on one party for this, it's required to pick on the other side in order to be fair.
I really don't like how negatively "flip-flopping" is viewed politically. I'm not a huge fan of Hillary but I have respect for people how can admit that they have made mistakes and change their policies. I think flip-flopping is way better than the "stay the course no matter what" alternative. I think standing by your decisions and taking responsible for your decisions are totally different things. Honestly, sometimes the most responsible thing to do is to admit that you've made a mistake and try and fix it, instead of standing by a poor judgment.

I agree 100% that it is funny how Clinton has changed her opinion on the war in Iraq. I mean maybe she did not account for the fact that it might take awhile but it is her job to know all the facts before hand. If she is so unsure about this how can we expect her to lead our country the correct way.
