Many of the people in America are getting tired of the war and they are trying to figure out why Baghdad can not pay more of the costs. Republicans and Democrats are looking at Iraq's surging oil income and saying Baghdad should start picking up the tab, mainly for rebuilding hospitals, roads, power lines and the rest of the shattered country. There are some officials that predict that Iraq is headed toward a major windfall because the price of oil is rising and record-setting production levels. Now, because of the high price of oil Congress is unhappy as the United States heads into election season. American troops in Iraq are not reaping any benefits. They are buying fuel on the open market at $3.23 a gallon and spending some $153 million a month, according to a recent report by The Associated Press. I think that Bagdad should start to pick up the tab, mainly because right now the United States is going through so many different things, like poverty and high cost of the energy, and there are so many people here that need the government’s finical help. Do you think that the United States should continue paying for fuel costs in a country that has the second largest oil reserves a burgeoning budget surplus?

I do not think that the United States should continue paying for oil in that country or in any country. There are many alternative fuels that are more efficient and cleaner. Stop wasting money on oil and start putting a fraction of it into alternative fuels, with the same amount of gain.

I do not think the U.S. should continue to shell out money on oil. The U.S.government is the biggest consumer of oil in the world. There are other alternative sources of energy.
