Legalize marijuana?

What do you think about legalizing marijuana? The prohibition of marijuana is costing our tax payers millions of dollars. Marijuana causes no threat to society and taxing this drug would benefit our economy. Personally I don't use marijuana but I find no reason why it shouldn't be legal.

I think the biggest problem with the marijuana issue in our country isn't whether or not it should be legal or not. I think the bigger issue is why offenders of marijuana suffer bigger sentences than a rapist. How would you feel if your child's rapist or someone who raped you just got out of jail so someone who smoked a joint at a park or something can go in. Pretty sick rational, I think.

I believe it also should be legalized because studies have proven that alcohol affects your body and it more harmful than marijuana. We spend millions of dollars but not trying to get it into our country when we ultimately make more of a profit from it a year. Maybe it should be only something you can purchase after the age of 18 to secure it may be being used in the right way.

I think we should legalize marijuana. The truth is, the authorities are making more money off of it then the street sellers are. They might as well make it legal for everyone to make money from it.

I think that the idea of legalizing marijuana is not so bad. If people can walk around all day with a cigarette, then people should be able to walk around with a big bag of marijuana. They are doing the same thing with it, it just may have a slightly different affect.
