We tend to forget about the dangers of North Korea and there nuclear capabilities becuase of the middle east, Iraq and Afganistan. Also the current economic crisis is also keeping our minds off the issue. North Korea has plans on sending a satilite into space around the time frame of April 4th to the 8th. This is very soon and something that we should definately keep a very close eye on. Many people believe that this is not a satilite and what they are really trying to do is test a ICBM. What should the United States do and the many other countries that are in the United Nation?

As a country, I feel as though the United States should look into this issue now. What happens if this is indeed no satellite? I feel as taxpayers they owe us protection. The quicker they look into that situation, the better. We need to know.

The people of America have tended to forget about our security issues with North Korea, but our government has not. Many people do not realize that we still have a military base on the border of North Korea. Both, North Korea and the United States have armed guards facing each other on the border at all times. Our military has never taken its eyes off of their nuclear abilities or their military threat. We have forces ready to attack them at any time if needed. They have been breaking treaties since our conflict with them ended. We must continue to stay engaged through diplomacy to make progress and to build a pathway of peace with them.

I to agree on watching this closely, you never know what the North Koreans are up to. As said in a previous comment the United States has troops awaiting orders in the heaviest guarded border in the world! Although I would not want another war, especially with North Korea, it gives me peace of mind to know that we are watching them very closely.
Yes, I agree, North Korea could remain a threat to our standing as the world leader. However, North Korea could never take over as the leader, as they would implode on themselves due to a weak economy and struggles for interior power. I beleieve China is the closest nation that could handle the title of leader of the world.
