It wasn't long ago that Barack Obama was tearing down Hillary Clinton's foreign policy credentials. In March, when Hillary was his only rival, Obama mockingly asked "What exactly is this foreign policy experience?". Now he is nominating her to be Secretary of State along with many other staffers and cronies from her husband's administration.
The change I would like to see is a halt to all the nastiness of elections on both sides of the aisle and both parties coming together after the elections for the good of the people and not the good of their party.

I agree the parties need to come together for the good of the Country, not their ego. I am aware that this is the way things play out every election; candidates say things they don’t mean and pretend to like people they don't. I'm not sure if this will ever change, but I would like to think so.

I totally agree with you. It was obvious that Obama only bad mouthed her because he was running against her, and now he knows how very valuable she is and wants her on his side. It is good that he did recognize this at some point though, and is surrounding himself by some very good people. I am not sure however if we can ever find a more classy way of doing these elections, sometimes people never change.

I agree that the mudsliding between both political parties is a little ridiculous but, it has become a big part of elections since the very beginning. The nastiness between canidtes does stir up discussion among voters but it can also sway a voters decision. Alot of people vote for who they approve of or like better as a person. While this is not how a voter should make their decision, many do and this behavior between canidates can greatly affect a large number of votes.

I agree also! It is so aggravating to see a commercial endorsing how great one candidate is. And then a commercial approved by said candidate tearing another person's character apart. I feel as if it's unnecessary in a campaign and only makes the bashing candidate look bad.

Well of course he slaughtered her he wanted to win when your in an election you have to persuade people to go with your view points and i mean what ever it takes to win a s long as your not cheating. But he knows that she would be a great add to him being in office.I think this will just make everything go even smoother ,now bill is kinda back in the white house and i know he helps his wife with a loof her views.

I think Hillary gave as good as she got. In an election, like fights, the gloves come off. Sometimes it can be a turn off as well as a test of character. I always root for the candidate that can endure and maintain while others come apart at the seams. It also helps if they have ideas, beliefs or visions that are similar to mine.

I agree, and the sad thing is just because they say it, many think there must be some truth to it. Not only would I like to see the name calling and lies stopped, I would like to see the canidates and those who say these lies held accountable. Even as young children we are punished if we tell a lie. Why then are our canidates allowed to lie without consequence.
