Recycling Plastic

The selling of bottled water has increased now overtaking the sales of milk and are almost overselling beer. When people are at home they should cut back on drinking bottled water, but use a purifier. If we could recycle as much as we spent on bottled water we would all be better of.

I worked in a carpet manufacturing factory ten years ago and we actually ran recycled Pepsi bottles. I'm not sure if they are still doing this, but it should be done in order to conserve more resources.

Many people are on this "going green" kick. I agree that if Americans are going to take an active stance on this, they should do as much as possible. Florida tap water is said to be some of the best tasting and purest water in the United States. I used to buy bottled water all the time, but recently bought a washable plastic water bottle and fill it before i leave the house. This is a small step that if more people take, would make a noticable difference in the amount of plastic water bottles used. If you do insist on drinking manufacuted water, but it by the gallon and fill up a reusable bottle, this will also cut back on the amount of plastic used.

i have not bought a water bottle since ive started drinking tap water in Tallahassee. The stuff is like candy compared to the tap water back home and i hear its good for ya! I guess i can say ive done my part to help the environment, maybe it will offset the pollution coming from my car that i took the emissions off of .

Couldnt agree more! Tallahasse has great tap water. We should buy the green box and put it to use as much as possible. They now have some sort of re-usable conatiner you should use instead of the plastic.

It's so true Tallahassee tap water is the best compared to Ft.Lauderdale tap water! Even if you do buy bottled water, re-use the bottle by washing it and filling it up again yourself.

Its true that we should recycle more but theres no easy solution to the use of water bottles. If we used personal water purifiers it still take plastic to make that and we would also change the filter which im sure is not recyclable unlike the water bottle.

Also even if using the brita system could be successful and decrease our use of plastic there are still so many ways that we can conserve plastic. There are also plastic bottles for many types of products. Which in comparison with water bottles is a bigger waste so there needs to be a solution for all our plastic needs besides recycling.

reusing platic bottles that we buy can reduce waste the should be a fillter on the bottle it shelf to insure that that water can be filltrated through this bottle but the companys are all about money.

Not only will you be helping the enviorment by using purified water from your house, but think of the money you could save on bottled water. It could be up to hundreds of doallers a year depending on how often you purchase bottled water.
