Many Americans will soon receive three hundred dollars and up this summer in the mail. If you are gonna send me money, send me more. How can I go out and stimulate the economy with three hundred dollars? Thats my car payment, my grociers, gas, and cable bill for the month.

I don't know anything about the three hundred dollars your talking about, but that doesn't even cover my car payment.
Well, if you use the money for a car payment, that would free up some cash that could be used for something else.
I don't understand what's the big problem is about receiving money that you didn't ask for. As high as gas prices are any kind of free money would be good. Some might say it's nothing, but for some families it will save the day. I don't see what's so wrong with it unless it has to be paid back at a later time like I heard.
I don't have a TMB in my gradebook, so I can't give you credit for this unless you put your name on it.
In theory, you as a citizen, should be finaically responsible. This means holding a job that pays enough to pay for your rent, cable, car, gas etc... If your budgeting correctly this should be money in your pocket. Invest the money in the stock market, put it into a CD, or mutual fund. These are things that will help "stimulate" the economy. Consider this when you get your check, instead of going out and buying booze for the next party. Be a productive citizen.

If most people did it, putting the money in the stock market might help, if the companies in question then put the money into hiring or raises. Putting money into CDs or mutual funds would have no effect on the economy. Spending the money would, even if it were on booze, since that booze translates to profits for the company that sells it and tax revenue that helps cover budget shortfalls and theoretically allows for other tax cuts, which could further stimulate things.
I think i might donate mine to get some of this graffiti popping up all over Tallahassee washed/painted away. Do people have any respect for this town? It is starting to look like a gang warfare zone. On a more serious note i will probably buy car parts with my 300-1000$
I agree that this rebate will not stimulate the economy. Most people have so much bills it will help them pay off some credit cards but it wont stimulate people to buy things that arent a necessity.

This meak payoff will not stimulate the economy. There needs to be more drastic efforts in order to successfully solve the economy problem. For example, they should raise the minimum wage so people can afford more things.

I agree that it's not much but it's more than you had. I think that it's your own fault that got yourself into a fincial debt that a extra $300 dollars wouldn't help. If I gave you $100 bucks what would you do with it; besides use it on your car payment or gas. Now then $300 should go alot further. Go out put half in savings and enjoy that other half of the $300 from your government because it may be our last.
Most people who receive will just use it to pay off bills instead of putting it into of the economy, so won't that just leave us in a worse position then the one we are currently in? I get the theory behind it, but it just won't work.
