High School Beating
Im sure that by now most of you have all heard of the incident related to Myspace. About how a female student from Polk County posted some negative things about some of her student peers on Myspace. The girl who posted the comments was later tricked into coming to a house where the girls she posted about were waiting in the back rooms. They all came out at her at once and mauled her until she could no longer hear out of one ear and barely see from one of her eyes. Those 6 girls and the 2 guys are being tried as adults and one of the guys are on bail I believe. Do you feel as though their punishments are a little to harsh, or should they be a little more strict?

They definitly should be tried as adults. Seems as though kids keep getting worse with their behavoir. Can you only imagine being the parent of that girl and not able to reconize your own child.I think something should be done on the restrictions of myspace and minors.
Obviously it is extremely childish and stupid to write anything bad about anyone because they will find it, especially if it's on the internet, let alone myspace. But be that as it may; it is still freedom of speech. The girl did not deserve a reaction like that.

I think those kids shouldn't be tried as adults. I think that is way too harsh, don't get me wrong what those kids did was stupid but teens fight all the time. The only difference about this paticular fight was that it was shown all over the news for everyone to see. Yes, they should be punished but not as adults.They are still just kids.
I think that they planed out and knew exactley what they were doing they should be tried as adults. they shouldn't get anything less than 25 years or more on probation with curfews to see if they are really sorry for get caught for what they did because obviously there not sorry for almost beating that girl to death.
The kids should absolutely be charged as adults for premeditated assault.
I am actually from Polk County and my mom was telling me all about it because she works for the school board and she was at the high school the day after it happened and she said that the school was debating about what it should have done. The high school itself it very little and the girl's mother is withdrawing her from school and homeschooling her. But i do think they should be tried as adults because they knew what they were doing and i do not think they should be jumping people in a fight. It should be one on one fight and frankly those people are immature. They deserve everything they are going to get.
I think that those kids should be tried as adults and punished with the maximum time allowed. I don't know why so many people feel as though they can do what ever they want to do to other people and not be punished for it. They had more than enough time to realize that what they were about to do was wrong.
