Gas to be $4 a gallon by summer?
Why are major oil companies such as Cheveron, Exxon, and BP profiting $123 billion this last year and the prices of a barrel are increasing dramatically. In 2005 it was $60 a barrel 3 years later it has risen to just over $100 dollars. With all these big wigs and CEOs draining the avereage Americans pocket what are some solutoins for this riot to quit before it gets out of control?

4 dollars a gallon is a very small price to pay for gas in relative terms. We have been pampered with low fuel prices for years. Even if it is 4 dollars a gallon it will still be one of the cheapest places in the world to buy gas. My relatives all over Europe barely even drive any more because of gas prices there are way over double what we pay here. And the profit they are making is a little over average but nothing more than the profit margin of McDonald's or other companies right here in America that we use daily. Is a 10% profit margin really THAT outrageous? I don't think so.
I think it is premature to talk about mature stuff! When Rockefeller started standard oil, he became the wealthiest man alive and still today with the rational inflation translated to his money from the past, the money still makes him the wealthiest person today. So, when a lady shows up for democracy and forces a break up of the companies because of monopoly. You get Exxon, Mobile, and etc (the things that you are talking about). So what does wig have to do with oil? Anyway, the smaller companies that the lady broke have fundamental analysis to reach their quota's (even today: they have bills to pay). Why do you think that Toyota (Japan) is the most enveyed company in the world. Do you dig!
Oil went down a dollar today, the bubble will burst soon. If i had money in oil right now i would for sure cash out, look what happened to gold last month. On a side note, i am excited to see my personal stocks are going up, hopefully the market is over the bump in the road.
