The Florida department of Law Enforcement is investigating Jacob City Mayor David Pittman. The investigation is being conducted in reference to allegations of fraud and misconduct on the part of the mayor. If there are findings of such allegations, the case will be submitted to the state attorney. Why is it we hear more stories of corrupt politicians rather than stories of goodwill? They have the power and capability of using their status for the good yet we hear nothing but malevolence.

The media looks for attention grabbing stories and sadly the negative stories are just that. The more people they get to tune in the more money they make from sponsors, and thus you have ridiculous, outrageous negative crap on the television and the radio.
And, The media gets their money from advertisers so, a catching story will bring viewers and the media will get paid for commercials. I just got my voters registration card and am about to vote for the first time. When I went to the regiter office they found records dating back to the 2000 election that I voted republican and 2004 when I switched parties and voted democratic. I never voted before and someone frauded my identity and used a different penmenship in my name. This is fraud that happened to me. You never know untill it happens.
The number one focus of the media is to put the government in check. If there is a politician out there who is doing good, the media has no story for him/her. People won't often hear about positive things going on in the world because the media tends to inform us about problems and things that need to be changed.

the media presents negative thoughts and stories becuase that is what grabs Americans attention, its sad but very true
cbishop, this is a common assumption, but that's all it is. There isn't any significant evidence to support the idea that people only want negative stories. Evidence shows otherwise.
